First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested different ways of shaping the root canal during treatment to see which causes the least pain afterward. 168 adults with asymptomatic apical periodontitis (a silent infection at the tooth root) were treated using various file combinations. Patients rated their pain on a scale from 1 to 10 over three days. The goal is to find the gentlest shaping method to improve comfort after the procedure.
