First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study compares a new calcium silicate-based sealer to the standard resin-based sealer for root canals in molar teeth. About 136 adults aged 18-65 with infected molars will receive one of the two sealers. The goal is to see which material leads to better healing and fewer symptoms after treatment.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

AH Plus Bioceramic Sealer (calcium silicate-based) and AH Plus Sealer (resin-based)

What this could lead to

If the new sealer works better, it could lead to fewer failed root canals and less need for retreatment.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage trial with only 136 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The new sealer might not outperform the current standard.
