NCT ID NCT07253025

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study compares pain levels after root canal treatment using two different sealing materials: a resin-based sealer and a bioceramic sealer. 180 adults with a single-rooted tooth needing a root canal will be randomly assigned to one of the two sealers. Pain will be measured 24 and 48 hours after treatment using a simple 0-10 scale. The goal is to see if one material causes less discomfort.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
root canal sealer (resin-based or bioceramic)
What this could lead to
If one sealer causes less pain, dentists may switch to it, making root canals more comfortable for patients.
What could go wrong
This is a small, single-center trial measuring short-term pain only. Results may not apply to all teeth or patients, and neither sealer may prove clearly better.
