First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at whether romosozumab (Evenity), a monthly injection, can improve bone density and muscle mass in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis who need lower back surgery. About 36 women will be randomly assigned to get either romosozumab or a weekly alendronate pill. The goal is to see which treatment leads to stronger bones, better surgical outcomes, and faster recovery.
