Robot surgeons aim to slash Post-Op pain in weight loss patients
NCT ID NCT06425016
Summary
This study aims to see if using a robotic system to perform sleeve gastrectomy (a common weight loss surgery) causes less pain right after surgery compared to the standard laparoscopic (keyhole) method. It will involve 91 patients at the Cleveland Clinic who are eligible for this type of surgery. Researchers will measure pain levels, pain medication use, and also look at surgeon comfort and patient quality of life.
