This study tested whether a robot called Dexter could safely help surgeons repair ventral hernias (bulges in the belly wall). Thirty-three adults with small to medium hernias took part. The main goals were to see if the robot could complete the surgery without switching to a different method and to check for any serious complications within 30 days.
