Summary

This study looks at whether watching a short educational video about opioids before surgery can help people use fewer opioid pills after a ventral hernia repair. About 75 adults scheduled for this surgery will be split into two groups: one watches an opioid education video, the other watches a general hernia repair video. Researchers will count how many opioid pills each person takes during recovery to see if the opioid video makes a difference.
