First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a special ultrasound-guided nerve block can lower the amount of strong painkillers (opioids) needed after breast reduction surgery. About 80 women will be randomly assigned to receive either standard pain treatment alone or standard treatment plus the nerve block. Researchers will track pain scores and opioid use for the first 24 hours after surgery, and check for any complications for 30 days.
