Robot walks: new hope for burn survivors with gait problems

NCT ID NCT07277166

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests if training with a wearable robot can improve walking in people who have long-term walking problems after a severe burn injury. Twenty adults who had burns on more than half of their legs and still had trouble walking 6 months later will receive 12 weeks of robot-assisted gait training. The goal is to see if this approach improves walking speed, balance, and lung function.
