Antibiotic interaction study for prostate cancer drug completed

NCT ID NCT07014488

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This completed Phase 1 study tested how the antibiotic rifampicin changes the way the body processes HRS-5041, an experimental drug for prostate cancer. Sixteen healthy men took HRS-5041 with and without rifampicin to measure drug levels and safety. The goal was to understand potential drug interactions before testing HRS-5041 in patients.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

HRS-5041 tablets and rifampicin capsules

What this could lead to

If successful, this study could help determine the right dose of HRS-5041 when taken with rifampicin, potentially improving future prostate cancer treatment.

What could go wrong

This is a very early, small study in healthy people, not patients. It only looks at drug levels, not whether HRS-5041 works for prostate cancer. Results may not apply to patients.
