NCT ID NCT06019325
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a single shot of numbing medicine near the ribs (called a rhomboid intercostal block) can lower the chance of long-term pain after breast cancer surgery. 254 women having mastectomy were split into two groups: one got the block, the other did not. Researchers checked pain levels at 3 and 6 months after surgery to see if the block made a difference.
