Your eyes could reveal hidden clues about heart and blood vessel health
NCT ID NCT05644548
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol affect the tiny blood vessels in the back of the eye. Researchers will use a special, non-invasive camera to take detailed images of the retina and track changes over five years. The goal is to see if eye scans can help detect early signs of blood vessel disease elsewhere in the body. About 300 adults with one or more of these conditions will participate.
