First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study observes how the breathing drive and effort of 40 adult ICU patients change when ventilator pressure support is adjusted after major abdominal surgery. Researchers will use non-invasive measurements to detect if the ventilator is providing too much or too little help. The goal is to learn how to set ventilators more precisely to reduce complications.
