Second-Chance surgery for head and neck cancer under the microscope

Summary
This study follows 400 adults who need a second surgery for head and neck cancer that returned or remained after initial treatment. Researchers will track how long patients stay cancer-free and their quality of life after this salvage surgery. They will also analyze tumor genetics to understand why some cancers come back. The goal is to improve future treatment decisions, not to test a new cure.
