First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests a simple, drug-free technique called cutaneous resonance stimulation (RESC) to reduce anxiety in people waiting for heart surgery. About 62 participants will receive either the real RESC treatment or a sham touch. The goal is to see if RESC can calm the body's stress response and lower anxiety, potentially reducing the need for anxiety medications.
