First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether replacing gas stoves with portable electric hot plates and toaster ovens can improve indoor air quality and asthma control. Researchers will enroll 20 adults with poorly controlled asthma who use a gas stove at least three times a week. Participants will use the electric appliances for about 2-3 months, and the team will measure air quality, asthma symptoms, and lung function before and after the switch.
