New dialysis approach aims to boost muscle strength in kidney patients

NCT ID NCT07413315

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a type of dialysis done more often but with a slower flow can help kidney patients who have been in the hospital regain muscle strength and function. About 50 adults with end-stage kidney disease will take part. They will do a rehab program with exercise and nutrition while using this special dialysis. The goal is to see if it helps them recover better than standard dialysis.
