NCT ID NCT07394660
First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looked at whether remote Reiki (a hands-off energy therapy) could reduce feelings of hopelessness, fatigue, and pain in 30 adults with chronic kidney disease who were on the waiting list for an organ transplant and undergoing hemodialysis. Participants received distant Reiki sessions, and researchers measured changes using standard questionnaires. The goal was to see if this non-drug approach could improve quality of life while patients wait for a donor.
