First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tested three different products (a special toothpaste, a nano-hydroxyapatite gel, and a fluoride varnish) against regular fluoride toothpaste to see which best prevents white spots and early decay around the small attachments glued to teeth during clear aligner treatment. Forty people completed the 6-month study. Researchers used a laser device to measure changes in tooth hardness at the start and after 1, 3, and 6 months.
