New anesthesia combo may prevent Post-Surgery agitation

NCT ID NCT07265050

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a newer anesthesia drug (remimazolam) followed by a reversal agent (flumazenil) leads to a calmer, smoother awakening compared to standard propofol anesthesia in adults having nasal surgery. About 204 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. The main goal is to see if the new approach reduces confusion and agitation right after surgery.
