Summary
This study tested whether relaxation therapy can improve the overall condition of people with fibromyalgia, a condition causing widespread chronic pain. Eighty adults with fibromyalgia took part, receiving either relaxation sessions or a placebo for 12 weeks. The goal was to see if this non-drug approach could reduce pain, improve quality of life, and possibly lower medication use.
