Foot massage tested to ease stroke Patients' pain and sleeplessness
NCT ID NCT07295626
Summary
This study tested whether a complementary therapy called reflexology (a specific type of foot massage) could help people recovering from a stroke. Researchers worked with 70 stroke patients to see if receiving 12 sessions of reflexology over six weeks improved their pain levels, sleep quality, and basic body measurements like blood pressure, compared to patients who received only standard nursing care. The goal was to gather evidence on whether this gentle, hands-on approach could be a helpful addition to stroke rehabilitation.
