Lighter chemo before TIL therapy shows promise for tough melanoma
NCT ID NCT06151847
First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether using a lower dose of chemotherapy before giving back a patient's own tumor-fighting immune cells (lifileucel) is safe and effective for advanced melanoma that can't be removed by surgery or has spread. Eleven adults with stage IV or unresectable melanoma took part. The goal was to see if the reduced chemo still allows the immune cells to work while causing fewer side effects.
