Gas therapy tested to shield Kids' brains after injury

NCT ID NCT07153627

Summary

This study is testing whether a treatment called rectal ozone therapy can help protect the brain and reduce long-term problems in children who have suffered a serious brain injury. It will involve 120 children, aged 1 month to 18 years, who are in intensive care with injuries from causes like trauma, stroke, or infection. Researchers will measure if the treatment reduces muscle stiffness, lowers brain inflammation, and improves quality of life.
