First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at 200 adults with rectal cancer who had chemoradiotherapy and then chose organ-preserving treatment. Some had a small local surgery to remove the scar, while others did not. Researchers will compare bowel, bladder, and sexual function between the two groups over the long term to help patients and doctors make better treatment decisions.
