First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested whether a short power-nap (less than 30 minutes) can help anesthesiology residents perform better after working night shifts. 44 residents took part in high-fidelity simulations to measure their technical and non-technical skills. The goal was to see if napping reduces mistakes caused by sleep deprivation.
