Summary
This study looked at two recovery methods—pneumatic compression (squeezing the legs) and transcranial direct current stimulation (a mild electrical current to the head)—to see if they help athletes aged 40-55 recover after a 10-kilometer run. Sixteen trained male runners completed the run and then tried each method alone, together, or none (as a control). Researchers measured muscle function, heart rate, and mental performance to find the best way to bounce back. The goal is to give older runners practical tips to recover faster and reduce injury risk.
