First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether starting four approved kidney medicines quickly (over about 8 weeks) is safe and works better than the usual step-by-step method in people with type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease. About 64 adults will be randomly assigned to either the rapid-start group or usual care. Researchers will track kidney function, potassium levels, and how many people can stay on all four medicines for 6 months.
