Robot and dye could spare testicular cancer patients from unnecessary treatments

NCT ID NCT06133543

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study is testing a new, robot-assisted technique that uses a special dye to find if testicular cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes. The goal is to see if this method is accurate enough (at least 90% sensitive) to replace current staging approaches. About 44 adults with early-stage testicular cancer will take part. If successful, this could help many patients avoid unnecessary chemotherapy or radiation.
