Robot dye test could spare testicular cancer patients from unnecessary treatment
NCT ID NCT06133543
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study is testing a new robot-assisted technique that uses a special dye (ICG) to find if testicular cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes. Current methods often miss small cancer deposits, leading to either under- or over-treatment. The goal is to see if this approach can accurately detect hidden cancer in 44 patients with early-stage testicular cancer, potentially reducing the need for chemotherapy or radiation.
