NCT ID NCT04393259
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at a special antenatal clinic called the Rainbow Clinic, designed for women who have previously experienced stillbirth or neonatal death. Researchers will track pregnancy outcomes and measure anxiety and depression in 500 women attending these clinics across the UK. The goal is to see if this model of care improves both medical results and emotional well-being.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that the Rainbow Clinic model improves pregnancy outcomes and reduces anxiety for families after a baby loss.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a controlled trial, so it cannot prove cause and effect. Results may vary across different clinics.
