Radiation after pills may keep advanced skin cancer away

Summary
This study looks at whether giving radiation therapy after a targeted drug (sonic hedgehog inhibitor) has fully cleared advanced basal cell skin cancer can stop the cancer from returning. About 65% of patients see the cancer come back after stopping the drug alone. The study will enroll 82 adults whose cancer has completely responded to the drug and will compare those who get radiation to those who do not. The main goal is to see if radiation reduces the chance of relapse within 2 years.
