Could Pre-Surgery radiation save brain tissue and skip a second treatment?

NCT ID NCT03163368

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This early-phase study tests giving a precise dose of radiation to brain tumors before surgical removal, rather than after. The goal is to protect healthy brain tissue and possibly eliminate the need for additional radiation after surgery. About 25 adults with brain metastases (tumors that spread from other cancers) will take part to find the safest and most effective radiation dose.
