Doctors test Radiation-Free pacemaker surgery using ultrasound

NCT ID NCT07458724

Summary

This study tested whether doctors could safely implant pacemakers using only ultrasound imaging instead of X-rays. Researchers performed the procedure on 31 patients with heart rhythm problems using ultrasound guidance, then compared their results to patients who received standard X-ray-guided implants. The goal was to see if this radiation-free method could work as well as the traditional approach while eliminating exposure for patients and medical staff.
