Shock wave therapy shows promise for erectile dysfunction in new trial
NCT ID NCT03596047
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether adding radial shock wave therapy to standard sildenafil (Viagra) helps men with erectile dysfunction more than sildenafil alone. Eighty men with moderate ED were randomly assigned to receive either real shock waves or a fake treatment, plus sildenafil. The main goal was to see if the combination improved erectile function scores after six weeks of treatment.
