New blood pressure pill tested: does food change how it works?
NCT ID NCT07358858
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This early-stage trial will test a new drug called QLS1410 in 12 healthy Chinese adults to see if eating affects how the body absorbs it. Participants will take the drug once with food and once without, and researchers will measure drug levels in their blood. The results will help decide the best way to take the pill in future studies for high blood pressure.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
QLS1410
What this could lead to
If successful, this study will show whether QLS1410 should be taken with or without food, helping design future trials for high blood pressure.
What could go wrong
This is a very early, small study in healthy people, not patients. It only measures drug levels, not whether the drug works for high blood pressure. Results may not predict real-world effects.
