Stool test could spot colon cancer early, study hopes

NCT ID NCT07410546

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study will check how well a non-invasive stool test (quantitative fecal immunochemical test, or qFIT) can detect colorectal cancer and precancerous lesions like adenomas and serrated polyps. Researchers will compare the test results with colonoscopy findings in 150 adults aged 40-75. The goal is to see if qFIT can reliably identify different types and locations of these growths, which could lead to earlier and easier screening.
