Breathing new life: simple rehab program eases lung strain in spine arthritis patients
NCT ID NCT07430189
First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This small pilot study tested an 8-week program of aerobic exercise, strength training, stretching, and breathing exercises in 20 adults with axial spondyloarthritis (a type of arthritis affecting the spine and chest). The goal was to see if the program could improve how far they could walk in 6 minutes and how well their lungs worked. The study is complete, and results may show whether this type of rehab helps ease breathing difficulties and improve daily function.
