New drug targets stress hormone to calm PTSD in veterans

Summary

This study is testing a new drug called CORT108297 that blocks the stress hormone cortisol to see if it helps treat PTSD in veterans. About 40 veterans with chronic PTSD will take the drug or a placebo for 7 days. The main goals are to check if the drug is safe and to gather early information on whether it reduces PTSD symptoms.
