Mind over pain: 20-Minute mental sessions tested in colombian hospitals

NCT ID NCT07254923

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests two quick, drug-free mental techniques—body-scan mindfulness and guided imagery—to see if they can lower acute pain in adults staying in short-stay hospital wards. 160 participants will be randomly assigned to one of these techniques or a brief educational session. Pain levels are measured right before and after the single session, which lasts under 20 minutes. The goal is to find simple, non-drug ways to help manage pain during a hospital stay.
