Hospital comes home: pilot study tests psychiatric care in living rooms
NCT ID NCT07364825
Summary
This pilot study is testing whether adults experiencing acute mental health crises like severe anxiety, depression, or psychosis can safely receive hospital-level care at home instead of in a traditional hospital. Researchers will enroll 45 carefully screened, lower-risk patients to compare home-based care with standard hospital admission. The main goal is to see how many eligible patients agree to participate and whether this home hospital approach is practical for future use.
