Single psychedelic dose tested for relief from depression and anxiety

Summary
This study is testing if a single oral dose of a drug related to psilocybin (the psychedelic compound in 'magic mushrooms') can help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. It will involve 40 adults with major depressive disorder who haven't gotten enough relief from their current antidepressant. Researchers will use brain scans and questionnaires to see how the drug affects symptoms and brain function.
