Brain scan study tests Psychedelic's power against depression

NCT ID NCT06820723

Summary

This study aims to understand how a single dose of a drug related to psilocybin (the psychedelic compound in 'magic mushrooms') might help people with depression and anxiety. Researchers will give 40 participants either the drug or a placebo and use brain scans and questionnaires to measure changes in brain activity and symptoms. The main goal is to learn how the drug works in the brain, not to provide a cure.
