First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a specific stretching technique targeting the psoas major muscle can reduce chronic low back pain in cleaning professionals. Thirty participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the psoas stretch or a placebo procedure. Pain levels and range of motion will be measured before and after a single session.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, drug-free way to reduce low back pain for people whose jobs involve repetitive bending and lifting.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early-stage trial with only 30 participants. The intervention is a single session, so any benefits may be short-lived. Results may not apply to other groups.
