First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests whether psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) combined with talk therapy can help people with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) who haven't gotten better with standard drugs or therapy. Fifteen adults aged 18 to 65 will receive 15 therapy sessions, including three full-day psilocybin experiences. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and reduces OCD symptoms, anxiety, and depression.
