First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Aug 11, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests whether psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) is safe and tolerable for veterans with spinal cord injury who also have depression. Thirty participants will receive low, medium, or high doses and be monitored for side effects like pain, muscle spasms, and blood pressure changes. The study also tracks how well the psychedelic experience is tolerated and any changes in depression symptoms.
