First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at a new way to give radiation to children with brain tumors that need whole-brain and whole-spine treatment. The technique, called vertebral body-sparing proton therapy, aims to protect the front of the spine bones to preserve bone marrow and growth. Researchers will check how safe this approach is and how well it controls the tumor over 5 years. About 38 children and teens aged 3 to 18 will take part.
