Summary
This study tested whether a multimedia educational program helps African American men and their doctors make shared decisions about PSA-based prostate cancer screening. About 161 African American men aged 40-69 took part. Half received the educational program, and the other half got usual care. The goal was to see if the program improved how involved patients were in the screening decision.
