New study aims to find gentler radiation for prostate cancer
NCT ID NCT05786742
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study compares two types of radiation therapy for localized prostate cancer: a newer ultra-short course versus a standard shorter course, both combined with a precise internal radiation boost. Researchers want to see if the ultra-short approach causes fewer urinary and bowel side effects while still controlling the cancer. About 205 men with low- to intermediate-risk prostate cancer will participate and be followed for up to 10 years.
