NCT ID NCT06945172

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at how two treatments for early-stage prostate cancer affect quality of life. One treatment removes the whole prostate (prostatectomy), the other uses focused ultrasound to destroy only the tumor (focal HIFU). Researchers will follow 102 sexually active men for two years after treatment, asking them to fill out questionnaires about their urinary, bowel, and sexual function. The goal is to see which approach helps men maintain a better quality of life.
