Heart drug may shield breast cancer patients from Surgery-Related heart injury

Summary
This study looks at whether propranolol, a common heart medication, can prevent heart injury in breast cancer patients with high blood pressure or angina who are having surgery. About 100 women will be followed to see if those prescribed propranolol have fewer heart-related complications after their operation. The goal is to find a simple way to protect the heart during cancer treatment.
